Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all
Having skied for 3 years on skis with cants courtesy of www.ski-mastery.com in Val d'Isere, just wondered if any one in England can fit cants to the inside of your ski boots or do they have to be put under the bindings ? (this really is a pain as I am looking for a new pair of skis !)
I found the cants absolutley transformed my skiing.
thx for your replies

takoon, welcome to
Yes, cants can be fitted inside your boot, if there's enough room. The best people to speak to are Profeet in London.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I thought that Bernie aligned boots and skis together. If you have had alignment done already you will change it by adding any more canting inside the boot. I also thought that he sold extra canting strips at fairly low cost once you had been to an alignment session.
I just use strips of cereal packet inside my boots.

Footbed first, coller alignment after. Cants are then better placed within the binding structure thereafter. Leave this well alone, it's voodoo and has too many variables. Get a well fitted boot with a well made orthotic. Find a good resort technician to sort this out otherwise i am hearing good reports of Profeet, London.
