Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chris Brookes, to be fair to them, you pay £2 for hold baggage but you can take 10kg in hand baggage plus 25kg in the hold under their new rules, which means that you can take 10kg more for £2 than you can currently, 10kg of excess baggage would cost £50 plus they've reduced all their flights by £1 so in actual fact you get to take a total of 35kg of baggage for £1, skis etc still get charged at £15 each way though Sad

Still I don't need to worry as all my flights till feb are booked already, shame as I could do with the extra 10kg allowance Laughing

I don't understnad how an airline can justify charging extra for skis, if your luggage including the skis falls within the weight allowance. Think it's time to start disguising skis!!

beanie1, I think it's because they may require extra handling i.e they don't fit in the standard shipping transport, they also charge for things like golf clubs etc.

This is just annoying for business.... you cant always know what you are going to be taking (it isnt a holiday which you have planned weeks in advance!). So either we will end up having to pay (on booking) for a load of baggage to be sure, or flybe will have to be issuing us receipts when they charge us at checkin!

Additionally, there will be many times when you have multiple hand items. If I have a laptop and a bag full of important documents, what are they going to do? At the moment I would carry both, I dont trust them with £1k of laptop nor do I trust them with documents, if they forced me to put one in the hold, they would need to have some serious insurance.
