Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Did the same thing years ago and it should be fine by April. I could feel a lump around the break for a few years afterwards but the bone had healed. I was running again after about 5 weeks.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi Kelski, thanks for the reply, 6 weeks this Friday, not running yet but been swimming a couple of times a week, just don't want the holiday ruined, as super excited for our skiing trip.
May leave running till after Xmas !!

Caz,
I smashed up my leg in August (spiral tibial fracture) and I'm hoping to do gentle skiing in Jan and back to normal in April. Unless you're really unlucky, I expect you'd be fine!
Swimming is good, as is lots of ankle flex excercises. A physio would be able to give you good advice if you're worried.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Caz1379, I got a stress fracture of my calcaneus in February and was skiing 4 weeks later! Could not run or even walk properly at that stage but somehow inside my boot the foot felt good enough to ski

Should be fine, if you deal with the cause.

I had a stress fracture of my sesamsoid bone in my foot one summer and after immobilising it for a few weeks managed to ski that winter. The fact that the base of a ski book is rigid probably helped but I had no pain.
Aches in the cold though which wasn't pleasant!
