Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,

I have just booked a ski trip to gulmarg for January 14 with a company called gulmarg back country. Has any one had any experience with this company? I have sudden doubts to whether they are a legitimate company and am worried I have just paid out a load of mony to a false company. Please help!

Sparkyboarder, welcome to sH. Sorry can't help you directly but try the sH search engine for things like Kashmir, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, etc. We've had a fair bit of stuff posted on the ski scene there over the years. Good luck and hope it isn't a bad deal.

Sparkyboarder, There are quite a few threads about Gulmarg on the TGR forum as well with a lot of good info. Quite a few guides from here (Queenstown) have worked in Gulmarg but they were mainly with the heliski operator. Have a great trip.

I am Nasee, owner of Gulmarg backcountry. I hope you had good skiing with us in Gulmarg, We are a legitimate company registered with Kashmir tourism.
Anyways did we met by any chance in Gulmarg during your trip.

Hi Sparkyboarder,

Its Dec 2014 and I'm in the same position and have the same "doubt" - how did it go for you?.
Anyone else have any experience with this lot?
