Poster: A snowHead
|
Flights booked to Geneva for 26th January (£48 each return!!!!) now I need to find some decent accommodation for 3 nights. Never been to the resort before so don't know my way around, also we won't have a car.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved equally places to avoid.
Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hotel Leonardo cheap and cheerful.
Gustavia has rocking bar if that's what you want.
Richemond tired but allegedly good value.
Look at the hotel bookings sites.

@Scongie, what you need to figure out first is where you want to be. Without a car you need to be in either Chamonix or Argentiere. While both will do fine ,which one depends on what you put at the top of the list, skiing or partying. If it's skiing and your reasonable skiers then Argentiere might be better.
http://www.chamonet.com
has a good selection.
In high season many hotels only take 7 day bookings but you should be ok in Jan.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've booked apartments through chamonix all year for the last 3 years. Seem quite good, and no, I don't work for them or get commission. Would be nice though!
