Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Family hotels enroute to Morzine?

Hello.

We're driving down to Morzine via the tunnel in early April with a 3 1/2 month old and a 3 year old. This time we've decided it'll be sensible to split the journey and have two overnight stops. One about 1-2 hours from Calais (on the French side of course!) and another a few hours from Mozine.

So basically I'm after good family friendly hotel recommendations (ie not bargin basement!) to fit. Anyone stayed in a hotel they can recommend either:

1. About 1-2 hours from Calais (enroute to Morzine) or
2. A few hours short or Morzine?

We need both!

Do you really need two? I have a feeling that although it looks good on paper the loading/ unloading twice before you get there is worse than no/1 stop.

i don't know how far you are from Folkestone so it could be driver weariness too.

Take the tunnel and do it in 1 overnight stop
