Poster: A snowHead
|
Afternoon.
Anyone got a rough estimate how much to service my 150 salomons in LDA.?
Ive just been to S&R at CFe and they want
£8 machine wax
£13 hand wax
£20+ for edge & wax.
The bases of the skis have no gouges and from what I can remember the edges were sharp when put away
Thanks in advance

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Can't remember exactly but about 20 euros, perhaps a little less, for edge & wax.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

^ but that'll be for a machine jobby.
S&R would have quoted separately for base repair anyway but that's about the going rate I think.
If you don't fancy it try looking for an independent ski-service on google

Sorry for sounding ignorant.
What is the diference between a hand job and one that is done by a machine?

If it's done by hand (iron, files, etc) it will be a better job. Less edge removed and more wax will penetrate lasting longer.
A lot of the shops just throw them into a machine which removes a lot of edge and the wax doesn't last long.
