Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Avios now include Flybe

I had not used my Avios account for a number of years since it only offered British Airways fligts and BA changed to being "London Airways". The hassle of going to London was not worth the savings. Now I see that Flybe and Monarch have joined and as we all know they represent more of the UK and fly to many ski destination airports. Only 4,500 airmile to Chambery in March looks a good deal, but they only seem to fly on Saturdays.

I knew keeping the airmiles account going was a good idea.

Damianowen7,

Log in as normal www.avios.com then type the name of your source, destination and date and see what comes up

I just entered Birmingham - Chambery for 7/3/14 and return the following Staurday and it came up with 4,500 each way on Flybe. But none turned up for Birmingham to Lyon, which is a much more popular route. As always with avios, you may be lucky or you may not. And there isn't really a way of checking availability without going all the way.

That assumes Flybe fly the route you want - they are so useless they have dropped their Exeter Salzburg flight this winter (probably because no-one used it as it was so overpriced last year).

Not a single avios flight from cardiff to Geneva with flybe, even though most of flights are pretty empty

Useless that they dropped a flight that nobody went on? Who'd have thought an airline would do something so stupid?

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Note that Reward Flight Saver (RFS) doesn't apply to flybe avios bookings. When booking BA flights using Avios, your taxes for short haul are limited to £35 for a return (£50 for a business flight). When booking flybe, you still pay the full taxes and surcharges for the flight. On some flights, Flybe do a "£x + taxes" promotion, where the headline figure is relatively low. For these flights, booking using Avios rewards would be very poor value.
