Poster: A snowHead

WANTED: Anywhere Snowboarding Departing Sunday Feb 1st for a couple
All-in or self catering, anywhere.
Budget = cheaper is better but prepared to pay more to get the exact departure date.
Ability = 1 beginner, 1 good
Snow = reliable or with something else to do if it's slush
Urgent: needs to be booked within the next week or so.
Can anyone recommend somewhere?
It's for Stepson and daughter in law as their Christmas present and that is the only week they can get off at the same time this winter.
Thank you.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

A couple more questions: flying (if so, from where) or self-drive? Is a beautiful / rowdy / ski in-ski out resort important (delete as appropriate)?
You shouldn't really need to worry about snow in early February - it's about the most reliable time of year. I don't think it's holiday time either, so might not be to expensive.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Flights: Gatwick to Grenoble £43pp return at the moment with Thomas Cook airlines - bargain, book while you can! Lots of other slightly more expensive options from Gatwick to Grenoble at more sociable hours.
Accommodation and transfers might be more difficult on a Sunday. I can see Val Thorens, Residence Tourotel (Odalys) £415 self-catering & ski-in, ski-out, but transfer might pose a problem.
Alternatively Les Deux Alpes, Residence Les 2 Alpes (Maeva) £271 self-catering & 300m from slopes. Cheap transfers with Ben's Bus and decent nightlife, but the skiing itself divides opinion.
If you're not keen on DIY, Tour Operators might limit you as you're looking for Sunday dates.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

TimDog, Hotel Les Lutins is a decent hotel in Deux-Alpes close to the lifts.

Mark Warner do Sunday departures but they're not that cheap, unfortunately. Even the crappy Moris in Val D is £780pp for the week.

Italy is good for Sunday departures and generally the best value.

TimDog, Serre Che has quite a lot of Sunday arrivals too, with flights into Turin.

TimDog Tignes would be just the job - ultra-reliable snow conditions; slopes/lifts easily accessible from virtually all accommodation; reasonable nightlife. Changeover day is generally Saturday - but there are some Sunday to Sunday apartment rentals available here

Found the ideal one, through Bath Travel of all places. Apartments Manzano, Pasa De Le Casa for 7 nights in Andorra, flights from Gatwick to Toulouse and transfers.
Only the second time in my life booking a package holiday. (The last time was in the 1980s!). Certainly makes life easier!
Thanks for all advice though, greatly appreciated.
