Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
I am based in Battersea South London. Are there any companies who do ski/snowboard servicing local to me? What are the local stores, I am guessing Bartletts is the closest in West London way?
Would be interested in finding out.

Profeet in Fulham service skis.
If you drive, Snow & Rock in Chertsey.
Worth checking out The Piste Office and doing a course...? Highly recommended by many here

There's Europa Ski Lodge in Kingston/Surbiton. They've done a reasonable job on skis and board for me (even if they did do an absolute horlicks of putting the bindings back on the board - 0'0' who rides like THAT???)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

joeyg, welcome to snowHeads.
Europa used to do their own servicing by hand, now they send stuff out and it's done by machine, not at all well last time I used them, ditto 47 Degrees in Putney. I also live in Battersea, but now take my skis to Bartletts, in whom I have confidence.
Edit: looks like 47 Degrees doesn't exist any more: http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=112974#2590904

Cacciatore, do Profeet do skis? I thought they only did boots.

Thanks all,
Some good recommendations here. It looks like profleet only do boots. I much prefer a hand service than machine for the edges! So guess bartletts is the best option. Rather do them myself to be honest as I've got most if the kit myself. Cacciatore, happy to look into your course! Send me the details

Pedantica, according to their site. I didn't really take it in when I got my boots there....didn't have own skis at that point!
joeyg, not my course, nor anything to do with me. I do know a fair few who have been on the ski servicing course and I'd very happily recommend looking into it as a consequence. The Piste Office is run by a snowHead and I will be heading there at some point in the not too distant (can't keep getting the SO to service my skis....I might try, though ).

Hi I think Finches Emporium in Forest Hill does ski servicing. Not used them but have driven past there - they are quite close to Forest Hill train station. Perhaps not all that convenient to Battersea!
