Someone on another forum wants a Hebrew-speaking ski instructor in Europe for small kids (lowest age ? 4), so I thought I'd ask on here because it is a far bigger forum and most questions get a reasonable answer.
I have suggested he asks Club Med (lots of Israelis there when I went to LDA a few years back) and asks the Israeli Association of Ski Instructors.
Cheers

@dobby, Club Med is probably the only route.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks, @Masque. Unless he can find a specific (non-Club Med) instructor who happens to speak Hebrew, I suspect you are right.

It might be worth having a look on the ESF Courchevel 1850 website as I think I've seen hebrew mentioned as one of the languages they can teach in?

I'm sure I saw something in Alpe D'Huez about lessons in Hebrew. L2A does attract a lot of Jewish visitors at certain times of the year, I thought they were mainly french though.

@Claude B, thanks. I think you are right about the ? Jewish week in LDA - they are French AFAIK. Club Med seemed to have lots of people from Israel, though. Including the bloke in my class who was one of the worst skiers I have seen, bless him. Poor instructor was pulling her hair out with him....

The Jewish visitors are because of the Jewish resistance during WW2 I think. They also seem to visit Serre Chevalier but not in the same numbers. We've had enquiries from Israelis before and some have stayed at other apartments nearby. I will ask my manager if she knows of anyone speaking Hebrew.

@dobby, apparently nobody as far as they know, but again Club Med might be a possibility.

There are at least two Israel based ski message boards on the net...should be quite easy to find an answer there.

@dobby, perhaps also suggest they check out Andorra, the Andorran tourist board has recorded a growth in numbers of visitors from Israel and the Grandvalira and Vallnord ski schools both had Hebrew speaking instructors for the past couple of seasons.

Club Med La Plagne had Hebrew speaking kids' ski instructors when I went there three seasons ago. There was at least one all Israeli kids group.
