Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I was talking with an instructor from Slovenia, he told me in his federation (z.u.t.s.) at level 2 they get also the i.v.s.i. international qualification. I never heard about such a thing, he told be with that you can work abroad.. if this is true, can we get ivsi in basi? how does this relate to i.s.i.a.?
Thanks.

some national instructor associations, such as Germany, sign up with IVSI and some with ISIA
very roughly

IVSI = club / coaching qualifications
ISIA = ski school instructors

If you do coaching awards in the UK you can sign up for IVSI, which would allow you coach club members overseas etc.

maddrifter, It depends on what you are doing and how you intend to work. Italy is quite regional with each region treating things differently. The lift pass offices seem to recognize both.

BASI looks after ISIA type qualifications where as Snowsport England admin the IVSI.

Most resorts will discount for an ISIA. Some (especially those which are "BASI-friendly" - e.g places like La Thuile which see loads of Interski people) will discount with a level 2.
