Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Had a ski n board session there last week and was delighted to see that the special muppet magnets that are used in the Alps to attract dull skiers to the top and bottom of any terrain feature, have at last made their way to the UK.
There were a few boarders and skiers using the park features, but time and time again a random skier would decide that the top or bottom of a grind or jump was the best place to rest a while and take in the view (one even had a rucksack on
).
Seeing as the views are not that spectacular, there must be an invisible force that attracts these numpties . . and then they complain whe they get clattered !

now now, boarders are as bad too
. Im a skier and totally agree with you there are some total tools out there on one plank or two. At tamworth at the moment everyone seems to want to stand in the middle of the slope gassing away ggrrrrrr
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I am struggling to understand how they can be exactly in the wrong place when that location must, by default, be taken up by a snowboarder sitting down either chatting with their mates, smoking a fag, or once again messing about with their bindings. But I concede that if that space is not being taken up by said snowboarder, there might be one or two skiers capable of doing the same. They are probably reformed boarders.

@Mistress Panda

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Just finished a couple of hours at Ski Rossendale again and plenty of space and the magnet there is set at the top to help keep the slope clear
Plus if it does get busy there they have a separate terrain park that attracts them away from the skiers. Amazing what experience and good management can achieve over the monkeys running CFe.
