Hi
I have booked this hotel as we have been before and it was fantastic. It has been taken over this year since we booked and on tripadvisor it has been slated. Anyone been this season? Does anyone know if the skidoo trip is still offered in this resort too?

We're going in a month, our 3rd time, and we're concerned with the recent reviews, but to be honest I'm a bit dubious about the 2 negative reviews anyway - 1st time reviewers and one of them apparently lives in Claviere?? strange!!

Brilliant, can't recommend it more, we're rebooking for next season next week! Early last season the standard at the hotel was a little lacking but it improved to the point that in January we had no issues at all. Snow was awesome, you could jump on your bindings at the back door to the hotel and pole 200m to the slopes. Ski school classes were small off-season and our 6 year old loved it. Pepe Penguin Club kept our 2 year old happy all day and they both enjoyed the evening activities. Hoping the same Reps are in residence this year as they more incredibly knowledgable and helpful. Last year they offered a complete one day tour of the Milky Way on the Monday which I missed 'cos of ski-school but I'm giving the lessons a miss this year on the basis there was no advanced week class only one to one 2hour lessons (might have changed, I don't know though)

Very nice hotel, very english and great for parents with young children. We preferred the family run Miramonte Hotel up the road which was very italian with great food.

Cant fault the Grande Claviere, its great for the price, the breakfast can be a bit greasy for the cooked option, but the all inc bar after 4.30pm makes up for it. Have stayed twice over the past 2 seasons.

No, a company called ABC took over the running hence the early season problems. Rest assured these were rectified by January and I have no issues rebooking
