Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone here done or know anyone who has done a trip out there? I m especially looking at info on any neat tips getting there and optimal time to go - I d prefer powder to "corn" .
Would take own skis unless told otherwise!
Thanks.

TGR is the place to ask; lots of info and some truly epic TRs to read through. Search for the one about the Revelations (I think) mountains - float plane in, camp on the glacier (it got cold enough to freeze their tequila!), climb and ski a new couloir each day. Seriously inspiring, and the sort of thing that makes you re-jig your to-do list.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

All I've heard on the downside is that down days are rather frequent. Don't expect to arrive and ski every day.

Yes.
I haven't skied there so I can't help with whether there're good cat terrain. But I suspect it does. I was there in the summer and can see trees on the lower slopes (the mountains come down to sea level, kind of like Whistler). The slope angle looks deliciously sweet for skiing too! So I bet on any weather, there's got to be some elevation that has good skiing.
