Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone learnt off-piste with Nicolas Glize?

Looking to do a week of off-piste lessons in Val and vaguely remember Nicolas from an on-piste lesson I had with him in 2008 and thinking he was good (if I'm remembering the right person which I may not be)
I have done a search on here and only found 1 thread which is slagging off his accommodation. I don't really care about his accommodation but I am interested in whether he's the right person to learn off-piste with.
I have done virtually no off-piste (the odd cut between runs). I would class myself as an intermediate on-piste rider (I snowboard if that makes any difference)
Many thanks for any insights

I don't know him but you could try Alpine Experience. Their off-piste guiding in groups of the same standard is very good and they do off piste lessons too:

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've known Nico for many years and he's definitely a good person to ride off-piste with and learn from.
Ex Alpine racer, hugely experienced and been in VD for many seasons.
