Colorado resorts including Vail, Breckenridge and Keystone have broken or equalled historic snowfall records for the season to date.
141 inches has fallen on Vail since winter began, with 84 inches in November alone. Here are some very deep and fluffy photos.
Breckenridge has broken its November record, with 68 inches, enabling the resort to open its new Peak 8 chairlift (highest chairlift in North America) one month earlier than scheduled.

Anyone out there, floating in this dream powder?

In Keystone.
And yes the conditions are superb for any time of the year.
Had a mate out last week and 36" of light pow fell during his 8-day visit.
Another 6-8" forecast for today, with 4" in the next tow days after that.
if you can drop everything and get out to Colorado you won't be disappointed.

we are truely enjoying record conditions so far this year at winter park. speaking to folks who have worked there for a couple of decades, a few can recall one season that was similar. the only reason the entire mountain is not open is manpower and customers
i can't wait until the bowl skiing opens. it has to be very, very deep.
i was "shadowed" in a lesson by an interesting young lady who is a new hire from london. she was an investment banker who decided it was time for a career change. she attended a 16 week intro course in new zealand and obtained, i believe, a dual cert from basi and new zealand. interestingly, her primary trainer was an examiner from the psia who works at keystone. anyhow.....nice young lady and a pretty good skier.
the course she took seemed to prepare her well. was amazed when she confessed how much the tuition amounted to.
i asked her, as she shadowed, to keep her ears and eyes open and her mouth shut. like a well mannered brit, she did just as she was told, and that came as a surprise only because an american new hire would not have done so. it was a little wild. i'm getting more and more deaf, the student was from amsterdam and she had a strong accent. i could barely understand the young lady from the uk due to her accent and a scarf girding her from near zero temps.......that's zero on our scale!
i took her and another person out to dinner in winter park as a just reward, and as an introduction to american cuisine. when she thawed out i could understand her. i asked the waiter if they had blancmange and he just stared vacantly at me.
i felt like such a mr. bean
