Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a gym in Morzine which is open to the public, i.e. pay per visit? Not looking for membership, just need use of a gym for a few visits over a two week period.

Which period e.g. season, or not and what do you need it for?

I think there is a gym at the Palais du Sport but it's not open to the public interseason, I *think* it may be during the season... There are a couple of hotel that have basic gym equipment and a personal trainer who may have weights and a bench.

alex99, the website that you need for the Morzine Palais des Sports is this one http://www.parc-dereches.com/en like MeMyselfandI I was certain there would be a gym in there but there doesn't seem to be Puzzled

If you don't find anything closer and really need a gym then there is definitely one which looks quite good at the Cite d'Eau http://www.lacitedeleau.com/ just down on the outskirts of Thonon. We've been there a lot for the swimming pools which are very good with slides and diving boards(we have a 9 year old Laughing ). Probably about 40 minutes to there.

Thanks Sarah, I checked that website too.. but couldnt see if there definitely was one which was open and available for anyone to use.

Was hoping to find something in morzine centre rather than a car journey....will head to the tourist office as maybe they know of one.

sarah, there definitely is, I know a few people who use it (and the ice hockey team use it out of season) but I'm not sure what the deal is for general public. You could contact them and ask.
