Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys,
I have got the ski bug and I am desperate to get in a week before the end of season. I have found a great deal for the Valmeinier and Valloire ski area for the week commencing March 29th but I am slightly worried about conditions that late in the season. I have never skied later than February so I am completely unaware of all things spring skiing.
Is it worth going?
They are quite high resorts (most runs above 2000m I think) but I dont know which direction they face.
Any advice would be much appreciated with regards of whether it's worth it and if I choose to go what to expect.
Cheers

I went to the area in the last week of march last year. The only place which was a bit "iffy" was down towards resort level in Valloire but you'd expect that with it being at 1400m. Apart from that, the conditions were great higher up. If you can, you'd be better off staying in Valloire, there isnt a lot in Valmeinier
