Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

always a bottleneck in bellecote, I avoid if at all possible even on a "quiet" day. Although tbh I joined queue just like that for Arpette on a day trip on the sunday before new year (we'd parked the car at les coches) and were on the chair in about 8 minutes. They seem to have done a good job in upgrading that sufficiently to cope with the Arcs return traffic.

Jonpim, oh yes Very Happy wink
To the casual viewer that is horrendous BUT that was as the French lunchtime finished and as one they all leave the restaurants and queue for the lifts. Best time to ski at peak periods is 12.30 to 2.30 the slopes are deserted because the 78% of Skiers in La Plagne i.e. the French all go for a long lunch Very Happy

It is the busiest week of the season, absolutely everything is booked up in Champagny this week so I assume it is the same throughout La Plagne.
We have had a decent amount of snow in the last few days but with dodgy visibility so everybody was out today as the pistes were in excellent condition and the sun was shining this morning.
Apparently the 'whole World' was on mont de la guerre this morning and the queue for the Champagny gondola just before 11 am was horrendous.

boredsurfin, The slopes weren't deserted at lunchtime but it was relatively quiet, you have to know where to go to avoid the crowds but even some of the off-piste was busy.
