Poster: A snowHead

Interested to see the changes this season to the lifts and pistes in and around Courchevel. I see that Creux is now graded blue for example. One change I was wondering about is the removal of the old 2 man Col de la Loze chair that takes you over from the Loze area of Courchevel towards Meribel. Now it has been removed, how do you get over to Meribel? Looks like it is now necessary to ski down the reds or blacks towards La Tania and then up from there? Not nice for nervous skiers who want to explore outside the Courchevel valley, especially as the other way over via Saulire has dificult runs down to Mottaret. Or am I missing something?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

There are two routes down to La Tania from Loze, one easy and a red. I reckon somebody on here will be along shortly with the piste names.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

So do you have to ski down to the Bouc Blanc( I think it's called) restaurant and then get the chair up over the black to col de loze? I'm heading that way on Sunday so it's good to know in advance, although I bet it's well signposted.

Big Dave, the run to the Bouc Blanc is a blue. It also takes you to the top of the La Tania gondola. It can a bit narrow for some but the slope is fine.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

NE1, correct, ski to the Dou des Lanches chair just below the restauarant via Bouc Blanc red or Arolles blue.
Big Dave, taking either of those pistes and the chair up is much quicker than just taking the old chair - that's why they took it out!

Thanks folks. I never liked that chair anyway!

Made the mistake of going on the col de Loze chair in a white out with a small child a few years ago, possibly the coldest lift ride ever. This year we skied down to Bouc Blanc and up and over (sorry am rubbish on names of chairs and runs)
