 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
I bought my first pair of skis last month (Rossignol Experience 8 and I am in Chamonix for 12 weeks, pretty much skiing everyday. Skied about 22 days on the skis and feel it's time for them to be serviced. I was assured by the shop that the factory wax would be good for 2 weeks.
What should I be getting done? I.e. sharpen edges, brass brush to clean, hot wax and scrape base to clean, hot wax etc? I'm new to servicing so any advice would be appreciated!
Also, anyone recommend of somewhere in Chamonix to get what I need done?

Just drop them into any ski shop for an overnight basic edge and wax service and see how it goes. There are lots of things you *could* get done, 90% of which are unnecessary to 90% of skiers 90% of the time. Shouldn't cost more that the price of a few beers so you can afford to work out what works for you.

srogers13, the average ski shop will just 'muller 'em' through a machine. Take 'em to Steve at Sole in Cham who'll hand service 'em.
