Which ones fit you best? Which ones do the boot fitters recommend?

well if you were asking me to choose id choose
because thats what i chose, because as
queen bodecia, says these were the ones that fitted my feet best, to clarify she didnt say they fitted my feet best, i said that but she said that you should choose the best fitting ones.

Doctormac, I don't know how you've got both the X Pro and Max on your list when they're different last widths. If you can fit in the X Max then by default the X Pro must be too big?

I was thinking the same as Raceplate. I bought XMax 120 back in November and now I've had a couple of weeks in them I've got to say I love them. I tried the XPro 120 and they were massively roomy in comparison, so whichever one gives the tightest fit is the one I'd go for. Remember that they'll give a little at the pressure points when the shop heat moulds the shell. I did need to go back to the shop to get the shell punched out a little around my bunions but I'd rather start too tight than too slack.

Thanks for all the information. I was trying to save money and buying tbe boots abroad but have decided to buy at home because it feels right and I get a better after sales service. Looking at getting fitted Friday at a specialist boot shop in Perth. AFTER A PHONE CALL I HAVE BEEN RECOMENDED THAT Atomic Hawx 130 boot.
Thans again for the information. The big test will be Monday nexf week in Bansko Bulgaria. Cheers

May be too late, but to throw another boot into the ring.
I picked up a pair of these last week. Very comfy and great performers. Probably the best heel retention I've had in 20+ years of skiing, they are absolutely locked down.

Only problem might be finding a pair.

AsterixTG, But as your feet aren't Doctormac's, they may be the worst fitting and most painful boots on the planet for them!

I'm going to throw this one out there - if he liked the reviews etc, I'd expect him to try them on first - a shot in the dark, a crazy notion if you will, but you never know.

CEM, the OP has been to the shops so I'm assuming he's tried them all on.The sales assistant has recommended the pair with the greatest profit margin

I tried on the atomic hawx 130 and they were OK. I am in the hands of the ski boot fitter/technicians.
Boots plus insoles best price around £360 gamble although they will (should) be better than my old boots tired boots.

When will people learn its not about the price, look, style, glittery toes etc etc. I have gorgeous Rossi Radical in a lovely orange and white that look great with the read and white head skiis, black pants and blue top However, they do fit awesome for me and thats all that matters!! It took me 6 different boots (I have duck feet!) Zip Fit linings and custom soul. The cost really doesn't matter when you spend so much time in them!!

Haha pmsl that made me laugh Bode
Doctormac. Apologies if it seems like I am mocking, on a serious note though, try and absolute minimum of two pairs of boots on, you will know instantly if they feel right, and make sure the flex is suited to you r ability.
If all else fails, drive to bicester, see Colin at solutions for feet and he will tell you what's best. He refused to sell me ski boots until I learnt to stretch my hamstrings. Thanks to him I now have great ski boots and can touch my toes lol

They weren't cheap, but I'd pay double that for awesome boots that fit!!

Boot £450, zip fit liners £185, custom foot beds £80 fit, and knowledge off Colin = invaluable. The difference a good boot makes!!

I agree flaine!! The boss aka wife keeps 'tidying' my boots to the garage so they are as stiff and cold as an eskimos nipples when i come to use them ggrrr. We will see how she likes it when she starts skiing next week!!

One thing, I have a pair of Redsters and love them, but they do have a little more forward lean angle to the cuff than some, and also like to be driven. As well as fit and stiffness also buy a boot that places you in a position where you can flex them naturally.

Just remember that they need to match your jacket colour, there's nothing worse on the slopes than someone with boots that clash
