Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The french hols in february are anywhere from the 5th February to the 5th march depending on which region the kids come from as they stagger the holidays in blocks of two week periods! The Parisians usually go first so the 5-19, then the more alpine resorts are in the last batch this year so the 19-5 march. So it will busy for at least a month.

To avoid them either come the end of Jan - we have space for the 21-28 jan or the 28 jan -4th feb or leave it until late march or the beginning of April. We have space at these times too.

If you are interested check us out on www.gravite.co.uk - we are in La Clusaz - a hour from Geneva in the Northern French Alps, so only a short transfer (which is included in our prices.

I hope this helps with your planning

provenjohn, good link.

Tahoe_Ski, just to sum up, France is divided into 3 academic zones, each with two weeks holiday, spanning a four week period. Week 1 (Feb 4 to Feb 11) and week 4 (Feb 27 to March 6) are the "quietest" because only one of the zones is on holiday. During the middle two weeks, two zones' holidays overlap, so they are the busiest.

Best to avoid them altogether if you can, of course.
