Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just got back from a week in Italy – before we went my mate told me he had booked his skis online through one of the main ski rental sites – I had a look but decided to wait as I like to see what choice there is

Rental Price 120 Euros with Online discount 80 Euros

After looking around various hire shops I ended up at the same shop and hired a similar ski for 72 euros (no bargaining required) - so online booking may not always be the cheapest option

Am going to La Tania on Saturday – anyone recommend a good ski hire shop? thanks johnor

I always rent kids skis in advance - must admit price had never really occured to me, but I do like the reassurance that there will be skis waiting for them!

Not such an issue off-peak I'd imagine but in school holidays is one less thing to worry about

Always book in advance as we travel NY. Last time we had practically new skis all waiting with our names on them. I book for peace of mind.

Ski Higher were very good last season. No reason to suppose they will have gone downhill since then.
