Will be going for the first time to this area in mid-March and am twitiching nervously about snow cover. Here's hoping February/March delivers.
Anyway, can anyone recommend a good guide or ski school through which we can contact one?
(With reference to that other fantastically entertaining thread here, I will (a) be monitoring my mates' and my own sexuality very closely every day and will report back and (b) ask the guide on day one which bus he/she catches just so's there's no misunderstandings.)

Should've been more specific. We'll have a car and are happy to drive for good snow conditions. We're staying in Gosau - one of my mates is Austrian but is not confident we should rely on his teenage memories to find what's good and what's not. It will be the first time there for the other three of us. Appreciate your help. Sorry we couldn't avail ourselves of your amenities.
(More to the point - where can I buy a pair of Lederhosen like your hubbies'/partner?)

Big Paua, Dachstein West is so pretty! I skied in knee deep fresh powder there last April, not too sure about this year though  I was going to ski over that way next week, will let you know how its holding up!
if you have a car there are so many places within 30-40 mins of you,Rußbach, Annaberg,Lungötz,Zweislalm, then a bit further afield(approx 30-40 mins) Flachau, Filzmoos,Altenmarkt, Radstadt, Zauchensee, FlachauWinkel, Großarl, Kleinarl, Wagrain, St Johann, etc etc………..2 lederhosen shops in town here at Altenmarkt, very pricey though. I know a great place in Bavaria where you can get the whole set, lederhosen, shirt, socks and a shirt for 99€, will send you the details in you want!

Big Paua, hubby bought his in the supermarkt! Select your lift pass carefully. Dachstein West is one pass and Ski Amade is another, or Super Salzburgerland does both. Most importantly, enjoy. Ange
