Hi,
I am wondering if anyone could help recommend a ski school in Zell am See. I will have a 5 year old and a 3 year 9 month old. Neither have skied but are very athletic. Both are used to school/nursery and behave well for everyone but their parents!
We are staying in the centre of Zell so are within easy access of city express and the bus to Schmittenhohe. We always skied and did ski school from Schmittenhohe.
I am not sure if anyone will take the 3yo for 4 hours a day but I would prefer that they would be in the same class. Would you do 2 hours or 4 hours?
How do you manage to do ski school and meet for lunch etc. My husband is a total beginner and if I don't offload the baby, I will be doing all the pick ups etc during ski school and hopefully getting some skiing at the end of the week.
I also have an 8 month old who I am looking for some care for if anyone can recommend anyone/where.
So any advice for skiing with kids would be much appreciated!

katyab, welcome to snow heads.
We took our girls in April (but with ESprit) my youngest was 3yrs 7months, she has been in full time nursery since 5 months old and physically big (now she is 4 wearing age 6 clothes!) However just the 2hrs was too much for and she didn't get on that well. I would definitely recommend 2hrs over 4hrs.

What do you do with them for the rest of the day? My husband will probably do at least 3/4 full days of ski school and my skiing holidays looks likely to be non existent if I am not careful.
Aghhhh beginning to wonder if this is a really bad idea! We are going with the extended family and they are all offering to help but I think that might vanish once we get to the resort! I would not have booked this - I would have booked a chalet with a nanny or kinderhotels/family hotels. I am starting to panic!

katyab, it was Belle Plagne last year, but the Ski Esprit are family ski specialist and have nurseries and kids clubs.
We have gone with my parents once previously and my sister in law previously. That was when we just had Ellie with she was 1 and 2 yrs old. So we did take it in turns, played with sledges and things like that. Must admit despite offering to help before hand the exact arrangements and sharing did cause some issues. However hopefully you will find differently.
Hopefully somebody who knows Zell will be along soon. Some resorts do seem to offer kindergarten I have been trying to find out more about those etc thinking of next year but have just decided to book another Esprit holiday as they do make life very easy and the kids love the kids clubs.

We have been to Zell a couple of times, we never actually stayed in Zell, but 10 minutes down the road in Bruck. Both of our kids used the Ski Schule Bruck and both got on well, though they mostly teach Austrian children. The meeting place for the older kids was the top of the Areitbahn and the smaller kids spent the first couple of days in the Kindergarten area at the bottom of the Areitbahn before they move up the Mountain.
