Poster: A snowHead

I took a look at ski goggle bags for keeping those lovely clear lenses in good condition during travel... and indeed lunches. But upon seeing the prices being asked - I thought 'why not use a scuba mask bag'
I've just ordered a padded bag at half price - (total inc p&p comes to £8 )

I'll let you all know how good they are.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Scarpa, why not just use an old sock ?? Travel tip - put googles inside a ski boot and carefully do up the clips. Not too tight. Immune from cracked lenses due to inconsiderate baggage handling.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My smith goggles came with a little bag similar to Oakley sunglasses get - that you can clean the lenses with too (super-soft to touch). My girlfriend gets some Smiths too, only they have nothing!!

Cheers, I used to do the boot thing with my old ones, but new goggles are a little larger. Wanted a lightweight padded bag for keeping in my rucksack when wearing sunglasses. Oh - it can also hold my mask when I go snorkling on holiday so multiuse

Was a very nice padded soft case. A little snug but should protect the goggles in transit.

I broke googles all the time until I started carrying them on the back of my neck (i.e., against the back of my jacket collar) since then my goggles have survived 10 years! Seems very hard (touching wood) to hit them there. I carry them here even when I'm carrying a rucsac (having broken goggles in ruc sacs...)
I also pack them in my ski boot or stuff them with socks and fold them in the middle of a fleece for travel.
These days I generally wear a helmet and as I think few things look sillier than a helmet/sunglasses combo I rarely take my goggles off except for lunch (when the helmet comes off too!)

I keep mine in my hat in my pocket or daysack. If the weather's bad enough for me to be wearing my hat (I hate wearing a hat), then I'll usually be wearing my goggles as well.

I have a collection of little bags that old goggles came with. They last longer than the goggles...
