Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

March beg/int snowboarding!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi any advice on where to go 1st week of march ... 2 beg/int snowboarders (blue/early red runs) ... Been to seefeld (too quiet) and saalbach (a bit small but about the right mix of runs for our level and reasonable if s bit quiet on après ski) now looking for somewhere else.

Looking at zell am see...a bit bigger resort and runs look ok. Maybe a visit to kaprun. Heard it gets exceptionally busy on lifts tho in zell??

Also looking at France as maybe more snowsure - maybe deux alpes...how busy does it get during school hols (I gather its hols that week)? Is it a nightmare for queues on lifts/packed pistes??

Any advice would be welcome thanks guys!! Happy to consider other resorts too!

Now reading zell may be a bit difficult given our level of expertise... Suggestions welcome!

Ndubz, that week is holidays for the following in France:

Zone A:
Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Pays de Gex, Rennes, Toulouse.

Others will be able to tell you how busy that means it will get, but yes, it will put pressure on the bottlenecks in resorts.

If you like Austria, and want some Apres, we found the runs in Kitz/Kirchberg pretty good for us as beginners, and the Apres is ok, although not the cheapest I guess.

For France, I would always recommend Morzine/Les Gets as its the only place Ive been, but the runs are perfect for you. You also have Avoriaz easily accessible. It will most likely be busy, but Pam will be able to tell you how busy that week with here experience of living in Les Gets.

Not a nightmare, but there are better places during the French school holidays.
