Is it worth going sking in kronplatz this weekend or should we change our flights and go another time . snow conditions don,t look good , I know all of the area is covered by snow making but can piste conditions be ok considering the high temps during the day. also will it be possible to tour other areas in the region

the grooming in the dolomites is generally of very high standard - they know how to make the best of what is available
It's about 20 minutes in a bus to Alta Badia where you can hook into the sella ronda. I guess there is a 'public bus' available but it might well be pay per play..

Just back from kronplatz and the dolomites, , Samerberg Sue, your friend the lift master was right, conditions were near perfect for the week with nice bright sunshine during the day and good piste conditions . It is simply amazing how the piste can be covered with snow and be so ski-able despite little snowfall. It was a great holiday, and with the children we skied over 10,000 vertical meters on a number of days all on great snow, its hard to believe I was thinking of canceling flights. Many thanks for your help
