Scarpa shell sizes, do they tend to be a bit long in the last or a bit short? Both my feet are (measured 27.3 Mondo) and Scarpa shell sizes break at the 1/2 size. I'm ordering the TXPro tele from Europe (even with shipping and customs it's still cheaper than here) No one nearby has either size in stock for me to try. I'd really appreciate any insight you guys might have.
edit: the two shell sizes I have to play with are 26.5/27 and 27.5/28

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Don't know about the TXPro but my meastrals measured neither big nor small. However the instep was a little high which creates a narrowing. Easily sorted for me with an extra bit of foot bed. With flat feet you might struggle.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

jbob, thanks, I'm right on the shell size cusp where either way could go expensively wrong in having to get a shell punched out . . . don't think its a fun job with bellows boots or having excessive padding to kill the empty volume . . . hmmmm
