Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, can anyone tell me if the powder club in the Arlberg ski school is suitable for a 12 year old? Pretty competent skier (two weeks every year since he was a toddler)

Hey moseyp, I guess you first need to check with them if they'll take someone that young. I've taken my son (then 10 years old) with me on a Piste to Powder level 2 day, and P2P, who normally say min 16 years old, were ok with it as they knew me and I vouched for him. He managed fine - just about, got tired towards the end of the day. (Group was happy as it gave them a breather, and on the other hand I helped out a few times when people were falling)

I've only done the Powder Club once, last winter, and I was surprised by the quality of the skiing - I'd say overlapping Level 3 and 4 of P2P. My son wouldn't have kept up (and he may not have liked the North Face of Valluga as the first run of the day). But maybe if the have a lower-level group?
