Poster: A snowHead

Doing a day trip - anyone know if one is typically busier than the other, queueing-wise? Haven't been to either so any suggestions for choosing one over the other appreciated...
Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

La Thuile is very quite and North facing... and half the time of getting to Cervinia. Cormayeur is another possibility.
If in Aosta try the Ristorante Bataclan - We had some super meals in there

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Courmayeur and Pila are very busy on sunny saturdays - would suggest La Thuile.

Frosty the Snowman, Thanks, I thought they were both about an hour drive? So do you think La Thuile might be better than Cervinia if I'm avoiding queues and busy pistes?

beequin, yeah definitely avoiding Pila, and not really too keen on Courmayeur but thought maybe Cervinia might be quieter? Looks like La Thuile might be best now

Go to la thuile rather than courmayeur. Just back from a week in courmayeur, it was way busier than and snow condition not as good as the day trip I did to la thuile.

The skiing is fun in La Thuile. You could even ski to France, just to say you have visited snowHeads Mecca. Blacks back to resort are a good test.
