Poster: A snowHead
|
There are a group of us going to Morzine (none of us have been before) in the first week of February and we are staying near the Super Morzine lift. Our general routine, when away, is to store our skis near the lift station and drop our skis off at the end of each day and enjoy a few beers in town. This has worked well on previous trips where there has been one main lift out of the resort but with Morzine having 2 lifts on separate sides of the town I am wondering where would be the best location to store our skis?
If we store them at the Super Morzine lift and want to ski Morzine and Les Gets it means a trek across town with skis in ski boots and if we store them somewhere in the town and want to ski Avoriaz it means going into town to fetch the skis in the morning.
Is the only solution to store them at our chalet and just get used to it or does anyone have any tips?
Thanks

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

you'll be fine, you just get the little train from one lift to the other, takes about 4 minutes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

you don't need to trek around town, there is the little train, and also buses that circle from one to the other. Or take em home the day before the day you ski the morzine-les gets side....

It's a bit of a stretch to say "Morzine has 2 lifts on separate sides of the town". Yes it's got two lifts but the stations are actually quire close to one another with the bars generally between them.
Unless you have a hurd of "I can't carry my own skis" ankle-biters to manage you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It's a 550m walk between the lifts (according to google)... the train is surely just for the oh-its-a-funny-little-train lols (and kids?)

In a good snow year I think I have just about skied from one to t'other (or was that through Les Gets?) In any event it's not far.
