Just received this reminder from Rail Europe for thoses looking at travelling down to the French Alps on the train. This is the French service, not the service from London (which are already on sale).
From 17 October 2013, you will be able to book trains for your French winter travel from 15 December 2013 - 16 January 2014 inclusive. For ski and Christmas breaks, it's always advisable to book as early as possible as the lowest fares sell out quickly.
Fares on the Continent start from just £13.50 one way high speed.
Add the date to your calendar to avoid disappointment.

Just received this from Rail Europe, handy for anybody going at half term.
Good news - tickets are now on sale for French domestic and international services between France, Switzerland and Italy for travel between 15 February and 17 March 2014.
Half term is a great time to visit the Continent - enjoy some quality ski time or a relaxing city break.

They were loaded the usual 3-months in advance of the travel date. It only the "peak-dates" which are loaded ahead of the "normal 3-months.
There were also no "cheap-fares" loaded by SNCF, only full-fare tickets. The cheap Eurostar tickets for the Feb half-term went on sale mid -October.

If the trains are "full fare" only, then it does not matter who you book with. Loco2's web-site can only issue tickets when the reservation systems allow, they will also not hold reservations for you.

Blinder, should have read the OP shouldn't I? Thought it was referring to travelling from the UK. Must be said the sncf.fr site is particularly rubbish. Loco2 has a much nicer user experience.
