Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This dude loves my ski boots

...and I've loved 'em too - but after 6 or more years and >100 ski days I wonder if it's time to transfer my affections to a younger model...
I see Pro Feet do a free 'MOT' to assess the condition and fit as-is, and that seems too good an offer to ignore.
Have any other
's taken them up on this service? I'd be interested in your experiences if so.

, I just came from there tonight. I got my boots there 2 seasons ago and booked in for a refit as my stance has changed since I broke my leg. Bernie did the foot / lower body biomechanical analysis and pressure mapping scans in natural and ski stance. He then adjusted the footbed and tongue (shims). I was expecting to pay but he did it all for free
.
Go for it!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've done one on my old boots, which I loved with a passion, when I bought my bf a pair last Xmas. The diagnosis was pretty comprehensive - that the liners were very compressed, the insoles had completely lost their shape and we're probably responsible for the weird knock-kneed stance I'd noticed in a video the previous season, and, critically, that they were a (ski boot) size too big for my feet. Obviously I immediately bought a new pair - that's the only danger of having the MOT! Go for it - the new ones have made a massive difference to me.

Thanks folks - as soon as I saw the idea I thought "I should do that" and your recommendations have confirmed it.

, While I think the shell is the right size for me,

sounds exactly like where I am. I have to crank the things up to the max to have them tight enough - especially in cold weather - and I'm far from convinced that my alignment is optimal.

, I'll mention your name for a discount
Hope you have a great season and hardly drop any radiators at all on your legs this year
I'll report back on the findings
