Car temperature thingey is now reading -2. I reckon we might get to -4 here.
But where will be the coldest?
My bet is the Glasgow area.

Car was registering -6 this morning when I started her up ans remained so until I got out of the village. We always seem to be 2 or 3 degrees colder than most of the surrounding area. Locals reckon we are in a frost hollow.

It's usually reported as Sennybridge in Powys. I don't think that it is actually the coldest, but it's the coldest that has some sort of a weather station. It's on the edge of the Brecon Beacons.

Nadenoodlee, you are probably right. Glasgow's almost on the west coast and certainly benefits from the Gulf Stream. There's a NT garden somewhere even further north with palm trees and the like. Can't recall the name.

I imagine it's usually the Cairngorn summit. But if no one is up there does it matter.

Nadenoodlee, I'm with you there - I did a fair bit of windsreen scraping in Glasgow, but very rarely got the really biting cold that we get here. (Oh, apart from the time it hit -24 in Glasgow over Christmas holidays, but that was a bit unusual - Skiing in Queen's Park, anyone?!)

Even colder this morning albeit dry though, the frost was quite light on the car which registered -10 when I started her up.
It was -7 going past Stonehenge and -3 here in Andover.
