Poster: A snowHead

I have managed to arrange a few days based in the area, due to a new arrival I am only doing a 4 day stay.
Fieberbrunn really interests me so am looking to either get a group together for some guiding - (boarders are welcome - I ski)

Or team up with someone with local knowledge and would be happy to pay for your ticket and a few beers.
Similarly I would like do a day or two at Kitzbhuel where I hear the off piste is surprisingly good.
I have done a bit off piste in Scotland and in Austria, definitely at the lower level of off piste but am game and keen to get better.
Any takers let me know.

I could be interested in this, new arrival here too!! me too done a little o/p but probably at a lower level than you. On piste I can hold my own on all runs so would definately like to progress. Have also started thinking about doing a 4 day trip to Austria early Jan so let me know what you have in mind.

Hi,
Thanks, yes he replied to one of my other posts about the area will give him a nudge.
I am looking to ski Fieberbrunn and Kitzbheul, the idea is to get up early and do full days with guiding at least one day on each area. If you look at the piste maps there are lots of dotted lines showing unpisted areas within the ski area which is probably an ideal place to start.

You can also ski right under the Reckmoos Nord (Dark side of the Sun gondola) or go futher skiiers left so there is lots to do with very little hiking. I think for our level it is probably perfect.
The only other plan is at the end of the day get a few beers in and do a little bit of apres.
I think St Joann works as a base because it is a bit cheaper, and a good distance to Kitz, you also have the option of skiing locally if the weather comes in, but anywhere close is good.

I booked a trip to St Johan 6th-10th January for a chalet that fills 10 people..
We've confirmed 7 of us going so far so don't know if this will be of interest to anyone?
Booked it from http://interactiveresorts.co.uk/ if anyone's up for, let me know and I can get your name on the list!
We've got a fairly suave chalet but it's my best mates birthday so we're going all out. It's never too pricey in a larger group and we will welcome you with open arms!

I have already booked - flights go from Edinburgh to Munich on tues 7th, staying cheap and cheerful at the panorama hotel. Skiing Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat - maybe Sunday morning. Then off home.
Would have loved to have done the full week.

Must have missed this thread. I have friends coming out on 10th Jan, so will be tied up around then. But maybe we can meet up in the first few days you are around. Let me know how your plans develop.
