Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Travelling around Austria without a car

I am going to Soll in January and the yearly prebash in Kronplatz in Italy. Since there is only a week gap between the two I was thinking of linking them with a weeks offpiste in St anton. Does anyone have any idea how I would get from Soll to St Anton and then to Kronplatz in Italy? I don't drive. St Anton has a train station but Soll doesn't.

I did Westendorf to St Anton last year. Local service from Westendorf to Worgl and then IC direct from Worgl to St Anton. Sometimes there's a change involved in Innsbruck however the early evening train I was on was direct to St Anton. Alternatively a taxi for the first leg to Worgl should be around 35Euro.

I was going to suggest it would then be on to Zurich - direct IC service from St Anton - and change there for Italy however looks like Innsbruck would be better. See OBB route planner if you know which Kronplatz it is you want.

oebb.at should help

Wörgl to St.Anton should be direct (Vienna-Bregenz RailJet ?), but if not, it's one change in Innsbruck.

St.Anton to Brunico/Bruneck will be a change in Innsbruck then another in Fortezza (I think).

trenitalia.it might be cheaper for that journey (can do thru journey on both oebb and trenitalia).

Actually I'd check with the Kronplatz bashers how they are getting there. Some will be meeting up in Innsbruck, but I don't know how they were going to get to Kronplatz. Would make sense to tie up with same transfer.
