Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private ski lessons

We are taking friends for the first time skiing in Wengen in February. It has taken a few years to persuade our friends to come skiing withus so we would like them to have a great experience. They are both in their early fifties so we wanted them to have private tuition for the week in the mornings. Can anyone recommend good english speaking instructors in Wengen?

Thanks

I have never posted here before, so please forgive me if I don't do it right.

I just wanted to say that I started skiing in my early fifties and had private lessons in Wengen with Rachel Eastwood (organized through the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School). I would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Jennyski, Certainly BigFanofWengen's suggestion of Rachel Eastwood at the Swiss Ski School is a good one. Their office is right next to the Co-Op near Wengen station.

An alternative suggestion is the Privat ski school. Their instructors, although they are local Swiss, of course speak excellent English. Their small office is located on the main street virtually opposite the Bernerhof Hotel.

P.S BigFanofWengen, congratulations on your excellent first post! snowHead
