Poster: A snowHead
|
i was wondering if anyone could help me. im an avid skier and have been all my life. i bought a pair of public enemys back in 2007-2008 and have used them ever since. that was until the were stolen. i also have a pair of atomic gs skis for faster piste skiing. i want to replace the public enemy with a ski that is good on piste off piste in the park and really anything else you throw at it. im a decent level but have just never paid much attention to the upgrades etc in skis. the public enemys were perfect for everything but are no longer sold. could anyone give me some good alternatives preferably that dont cost the earth. thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Nordica Soul Riders a great all round skis, too soft to charge in cut-up crud (but fine with a more 'finesse-y' approach) but that might be what you want in the park. Incredible edge grip on firm pistes for the width.

Not sure about incredible edge grip after PE's....

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

another +1 for the Soul rider! along the same line as the public enemy and just an Über-fun ski! I had so much fun in the slush and crud on these! not going in a straight line but still SOOO much fun!
AND i just checked... the new model is no longer the ugliest ski in the world (apparently i am not a fan of the banjo playing skeleton with flowers for eyes)

k2 Sight or Press are in the same ballpark, suppose they're an updated version on the enemy's (still got mine and still love em!!), Domaine and recoil a bit wider for a bit more of an all mountain feel.
