Normally use Hertel Hot Sauce all temperature wax, however I understand that it can be very cold in the 3 valleys for the 2nd week in December so should I use a different / colder wax on my skis?
Any suggestions?

crypto, I just use universal wax all season round --- top up with Zardoz midweek. If really cold will Zadoz more frequently ---

it does in the bar at the end of the day.... cue "yeah that super slippy wax I put on last night really made the difference" discussion.

No, not racing, just want the skis to slide well Guess I'll stick with the universal wax
That said the Zardoz stuff looks interesting, would be especially useful when it's raining

Not all universal waxes are that universal. Read the small print for their snow temperature operating range - you want it to be as wide as possible.
