Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tremblant in January

Planning this winters ski, have been to Canada a few times but never Tremblant. We prefer quieter slopes (busy being French alps busy), great ski school (always good to meet people, make sure of an early start and no matter how many lessons you have you always learn something). We're a bit lazy when it comes to carrying skis so always like ski in ski out or ski garage, après ski not that important. Would love some local/ first hand info and advice on where to stay would be great. Is it worth the journey from the uk for just 1 week, previously did 10/11 days in Canada but can't manage that this year.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Nice resort in a Disney sort of way - fake mining town theme.

Skiing is into the resort centre so is very convenient and ski schools are in English and decent.

The extent is a bit limited, but nice tree skiing if the snow's new.

It is also proper cold - face masks and similar should be packed.

Hiphiphurrah,

Be warned, it can be very cold in Eastern Canada at that time of the year.

As an alternative to Tremblant, you might also consider Le Massif, Stoneham of Mont Ste. Anne, near Quebec City. The city is a great place to visit and get a feel for French-Canadian culture.
