from 9155 feet on the 40th parallel........it's puking. i just spent the last hour digging out with shovel and 13hp of snowblower.
i'm 12 miles nw of winter park, hence i'm certain they got more snow as orographics slammed up against the divide. the colorado avalanche forecast center is calling for a "major" storm in the northern mountains. this will mean everything north of interstate 70 (winter park& steamboat) will get a nice snowfall.
i skied yesterday at loveland and it was as good as i have seen for this time of year in terms of snowpack and terrain open.
so how much? loveland reports 24 inches in the last 72 hours. the weather service is calling for additional accumulations of 12-24 inches by end of day.

i think all concerns about colorado snowfall for the season are out the door. there are some amazing snowfall totals coming in from this storm ranging from 24 inches to 48 inches.
not bad for mid november
