During my youth i had a pretty tricky time, like us all i guess. Post-rave, a gypsy came to me when i was working in a cocktail bar.
He spotted my frustration and confusion.
"'keeper, my friend." he said.
"He whom knows not, but tells all that he knows, is a fool, shun him. He whom knows not and knows not that he knows not, is ignorant, teach him. But he that knows, but knows not that he knows, is a wise man, follow him."
It got rid of my wart at least. I know not and prefer to keep it that way. Ignorance is after all, bliss.

But he that knows and knows not that he knows is living in ignorance of his own knowledge. So maybe you don't think you know, but you since you are ignorant you don't know what you know and hence you probably do know. If you know what I mean.
Have we had a Life of Brian thread on Snowheads yet?

boredsurfin, there I was sitting in the bar making a nice living impressing the girls with stories about how I would have done that couloir if it wasn't for the awkward pinch in my left boot that meant I just couldn't guarantee the necessary edge control on that near vertical ice mid section when some b@stard called SMALLZOOKEEPER came along and fitted me with new boots...

SMALLZOOKEEPER, we don't know each other, but you should be flattered. Not everyone gets to substitute his name for Jesus'.
Ok. Back to the Glengoyne before I annoy anyone else.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

As Mr Rumsfeld puts it,
"As we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know."

You know it makes sense.

David Murdoch, I think the ignorance clause applies.
