Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

When does Andorra open? Any early skiing potential?

It's possible that I'll have to do a business trip there in a few weeks time. Seriously, it's true.

Anyone know when the skiing starts? I have a mate with whom I can probably do some touring if there's any snow but a little vanilla alpine wouldn't go amiss (and is much easier on the kit front).

Other options nearby gratefully received!

They've had few good starts to the season over the last few years and opened pretty early, they did last year as I recall.

Yes, Pas actually opened the second last weekend of November although it was scheduled to open the first weekend of December. See below for a blast from the past:

There is talk of Andorra opening some lifts this weekend. I'll post updates on my site if I get more news, there is some info on conditions here:-

davidof, my reading of the GFS charts does suggest that Andorra and the Pyrenees will be the place to go in the next week or so.
