Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alain Baxter is the British ski racer whose bronze medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics was reclaimed, after he was disqualified. He failed a drugs test, having inadvertently absorbed a banned chemical from the US version of a Vicks inhaler. He had not realised that the US version differed from the European version of the same product.
Alain Baxter has now revealed his full side of that extraordinary affair, and talks about his life in Aviemore.
The Herald publishes a lengthy extract from "Alain Baxter: Unfinished Business" by Andrew Ross.
Here it is,
running to 13 web pages.
Any comments?
Will try to locate further details of the book later, or maybe someone else could track it down?

Did you see him on the children in need thing last night?

No, but then he's not a child and he's not in need - except for some sort of 'people's justice' and 'medal of honour' by the British ski community.
It would be great to see something permanently established in recognition of his achievement in 2002.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Interesting exerpts, but nothing that we don't already know. What does come across is how hard it is to be an elite athlete in the modern world. Hopefully, some of the "sports" journalists will take note.

Such a shame.
If you look for a list of ingredients on a Vicks inhaler...there isnt one.
Good luck to him.
