Oh dear, very mild this morning, with the Fohn forecast. Snow on tuesday according to local radio. Part cloudy with sunshine today. Keep dancing, everybody!

Just back from the beautiful Niederau. So glad it snowed on Tuesday and showed the village in all it's true winter glory. Thanks to all who made our holiday so memorable, especially Hotel Alpenland, Aktiv Ski School and the Snappshutte.

Today has dawned clear and not very cold. We are expecting some snow today/tomorrow, but how much remains to be seen. The pistes, however, are holding up really well and this week's new guests have plenty to enjoy

Woke up to the village all white again, still gently snowing now. Must give my skis a quick wax before work!

Snow at Niederau was heavy this morning so headed off to Auffach, about 10cm of new snow at the top when I got there. Snow was much better but visibility was poor. Snowed most of the day on the mountain but unfortunately it was rain in the valley. Looking good for a bit of a dump at the weekend.
Off to Kitz tomorrow to see if I can see the first training runs for the Mens downhill.

Up on the top today the snow is lovely, very wet on the lower slopes so no training for us tomorrow although the guest race goes ahead as planned

Well the promised snow has arrived and we are back to a very traditional Wintery scene here in Niederau. Conditions yesterday were excellent up on the top although very slushy in the village. Think things will be different today Keep up the dancing, we're getting there!

Well the village certainly is looking like it should at this time of year. A good covering overnight and it has snowed steadilly all day, still snowing lightly now. Temperatures have stayed low enough for it to be snow at all levels and forecast for a cold (-7) night tonight.

Not sure I'll meet or recognise any one so apologise for that. We'll be the assistance with the disability skiers via the jumbulance trust. Staying at sonniechen(spelling?).

carolyn, Just coming over for tomorrow and then maybe again on Thursday or Friday. My friend arrives on a late flight out of Manchester this afternoon. I will take them up from Niederau first as I have no idea what their skiing is like. If they need lessons I'll send them to you

Lovely photos, what a glorious day yesterday with perfect conditions, where else than the beautiful Niederau Well it has been snowing madly all night and we are knee deep in the stuff - me thinks some Kinderland stamping is on the agenda before work today!!

Oh that's excellent, there surely is something special about this little place! I now have a group to teach which finishes Thursday, so maybe I can catch you Friday - but enjoy your day which ever it is Today is cold and clear with sun expected at times today and more sun as the week progresses.

Today was below freezing with clear blue skies and sunshine. Conditions were not far short of perfect. There is something for everyone at the moment, nursery areas are good, mountain runs are good, good untracked powder is still available in a few places.

We arrived about 6:30, had some dinner and popped down to the Sports Bar to make sure Simon and co were all well. It would have been impolite not to! Getting an early night now so as to be fit to hit the slopes in the morning.
