I doubt you are the only one wishing to see simultanoues girl on girl action between Schiffrin & Fenninger with them both finishing at the same time.

OK folks, the following are doubtful or have already said they are not racing in Levi/North American opening speed races:
Marie-Michelle Gagnon - dislocated left shoulder (again) - she is going to try and get through the season before undergoing surgery (same as mine so I don't blame her!) Levi is out but she will try and race in Lake Louise
Eric Guay - not skiing at Lake Louise because he wants to give his knee more time to recover.
I've created a new league and sent out invitations to all who have indicated they want to continue the team will continue as it is, so the name will appear twice. I've also contacted Michael Nyman to ask why the system for teams/leagues is not working correctly.
Congrats to all those who did so well, I'm continuing where I left off last season, middle of the pack as usual!

Ive accepted your request but can someone please explain how this works. I did my own top 10 picks for each race last year. Do I just keep doing this or do I now need to set up a team for the season for the league?

Yup I surprisingly was top on one day. And surprised by most people's selections for 1st tbh.
Not sure why I'm in the FSR group. I guess it was left over from last season? I did try to log in once this season, since I got a few emails from the server, but the website was down.

georgedelaney, just carry on as you did last year, now your results will be counted for the team as well though. If I've set it up correctly we will also be competing against each other within the team (The team is our mini league) Good to have you on board this time around.
andy, there is a lot of data left from last season so I've started again under the same team name. I cannot delete single players, so by starting a new league/team I'm hoping we can delete last season's one.
BTW I've just read an update on Mitch Gagnon, she IS hoping to take part at Levi BUT as this is the third dislocation in 8 months, I'm pretty sure she will either scratch or maybe not do so well as hitting those poles will hurt like hell

Definitely not as many people playing this year and a large number who have registered have failed to make picks in the first 2 weeks
kooky and briand6858 appear in our league but with blank names
davkt doesn't appear to be linked to Hopefuls league at all
Dr Che doesn't appear to be linked to a country
Fatts13 does not appear to have made any picks
That apart as far as I can make out the following is a summary of week 2
Samerberg Sue - 36.19 - 4th in Ger - 134th overall
WayneC - 37.88 - 7th in GB - 72nd overall
davkt - 30.50 - 4th in Arg - 369th overall
georgedelaney - 26.63 - 4th in Ire - 515th overall
Dr Che - 29.94 - 29th ln GB - 408th overall
codyaitch - 33.75 - 17th in GB - 233rd overall
Fattes13 - no entries ?
kooky - 36.00 - 3rd in Aus - 149th overall
briand6868 - 32.25 - 1st in Ire - 298th overall
marshpa -15.25 - 37th in GB - 612th overall
Hopefuls 21st with 32.232 points

@codyaitch, I've not had a response yet from Michael to the questions I asked - I may have to send him a reminder. I'll also take a look at our status under my Admin ID and see if I can see where the problems lies. My personal Stats are still showing some of the info from last season so something is still not quite right with all this.
davt is on the team I have I think, I certainly sent him and invite.

oops - I didn't get chance to have a last minute edit this week-end but still managed 6/10 with 1 exact for each race... and only dropped two places...
Also I'm not sure what happened to Marshpa as he made his selections and thought he was playing with us.... but he is a bit technologically challenged...

Agree with @codyaitch, seems there's only 37 players in GB and about 600 playing all together.. I'll give it a couple more weeks but it doesn't seem to have the interest it used to generate...

@WayneC I try and give him another buzz.
The site is very buggy right now - they have the main functionality working but need to do a proper clean up. I don't think I have those kind of Admin rights (wouldn't want them either).
Interest has definitely fallen off on this side of the Pond, but all the goodies for the Yanks have made it super popular there. The Fantasy League thing is based on their Fantasy NFL games which is why none of us understood how it really worked. It is still very popular in other countries - i.e. plenty of German, Austrian, French and Scandinavian support.

@Kooky, OK I'll try and add her to the choices list.
I remember you telling me about Anna Fenninger when she was still in the Europa Cup and unknown. Everyone else said she was too small and light, especially for speed events. Well she (and you) proved them wrong big time! You also drew my attention to Mika Schiffrin as a potential future talent and she has turned out to be a real Wunderkind!

@Samerberg Sue, When Lb was racing he got to train alongside a lot of the young Austrians so I got to see them all before you did!
The last one he spent a season with is a young lady from Sölden, Franzi Gritsch and who I think will be absolutey world class, unfortunately she is injured at the moment, but she was already entered in an Europa Cup race for Austria last year as a 1997 YOB
Keep an eye on her; http://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/athlete-biography.html?sector=AL&competitorid=191309&type=result
and her, I only saw her race a few times, but she was very consistant
http://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/athlete-biography.html?sector=AL&competitorid=175818&type=result
Also, Marco Schwarz, (he shared the room next to LB at Schladming), and has made the B Kader already as a 1995 YOB http://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/athlete-biography.html?sector=AL&listid=&competitorid=169280
I remember watching Shiffrin at the Topolino when LB raced it, she blew the competition away, I think everyone knew they were seeing a superstar in the making.

I was in Tignes at PSB last week without wifi so could not update last weekends scores or update my picks so put in some pretty dismal results - but there have been some impressive scores with Samerberg Sue and WayneC hitting 55.50 and high 40s from several Hopefuls
Summary week 5
Samerberg Sue - 49.05 - 1st in Ger - 66th overall
briand6868 - 46.70 - 1st in Ire - 124th overall
Dr Che - 46.10 - 2nd ln GB - 148th overall
WayneC - 45.10 - 4th in GB - 173rd overall
kooky - 42.95 - 9th in Aus - 244th overall
codyaitch - 42.80 - 12th in GB - 252nd overall
georgedelaney - 38.65 - 2nd in Ire - 372nd overall
davkt - 38.60 - 3rd in Arg - 374th overall

@codyaitch, thanks for doing the catch up - I was sweating on it today I have to say having swapped one of the Swedes out and put in Mario Matt - big mistake! Thank God for Mr. consistency Hirscher and Hargin for being where I thought the would be.

Marco Schwarz
I was very lucky again this weekend, as I didn't get chance to do a last minute edit, and scored a 8/10 with 3 exact in the the mens GS..
But notice there's not many playing - only 38 in GB and 750 in the world...

The 'official' scores tie up with mine so the boys appear to have sorted out previous years problems.
BUT
I can't fathom how the top team has a score of 74.100 - 9 out of 10 and 6 exact = 75 points - so every member of the team has achieved that level of score for 5 races - sounds questionable ?

@codyaitch, I think some hacks have taken place too. If the top people are Yanks they have a lot of goodies to win, so it explains their reasons. If you have the stats to back up your suspicions, then please contact Michael Nyman as he is the brains behind this web site. If you can send me the details I'll also bring it up as an Admin.
