IncogSkiSno, I thought it was brilliant. Didn't sound like my sort of movie - a kind of bizarre anti-hero chick-flick - but it was eccentric, humourous and upbeat in the face of all manner of daily adversity, and I found it both entertaining and enjoyable. And of course Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt are names I look out for as actors who can carry or turn around almost any movie.

slikedges, I find maps really interesting especially old ones. Bought my Dad a book on medieval maps for his birthday last week and ended up reading most of it before I gave it to him  (Is this now allowed to be on topic?)

Alternatively you could go somewhere other than Wengen (shock horror) where slightly younger unattached females hang out. Wengen is lovely but it does tend to attract families, doesn't it.
